Bowing Birds in Pale Mint Green
This design developed from a hand drawing I made while observing the Pelicans in Newport Beach in California where I stayed for 3 months. The sunny Californian pelican appeared to me to be majestic and proud even when its beak was battered and broken.A big bird that is very graceful and appears to be only visible from its side view. Its ability to fish, fly and walk about so gracefully despite its size is astonishing.
My version of the Pelican as this bowing bird is abstract.
The wings and body of the drawing have fabulous detail and colour, such as reds, blues and pinks and the background is pale green. Cotton/Silk mix is very soft and as both are natural fibers, it is very warm in winter and cool in the summer. This is a very large scarf and can be worn in many ways, as a shawl, a neck scarf tied in many ways or rolled and worn as a smaller chic sophisticated scarf.
Description
Material: Silk 30% and Cotton 70% mix
Dimensions: 140cm by 140cm
Care Instructions:
Silks, woolens, silk-cotton blends and other delicate natural fabrics that require dry cleaning, may also be hand washed with considerable care. In order to maintain the luxurious softness and vibrant colours it is recommended that they are washed using cold water and a neutral soap such as Woolite or baby shampoo. Do not rub or brush, just gently move it about in the water. Avoid soaking in water for long periods. Rinse with cold water, do not twist or wring as this will damage the fibers. Hang the scarf to dry away from sunlight. Iron the silk using a dry iron and not steam.
